Naturally, you will not spare any effort to make everything look beautiful and luxurious on such a day. You have been looking forward to this day for a long time and prepared for it properly, and everything must be perfect. Do not forget that it depends of the cameraman’s and photographer’s work how you will recall your happiness, feelings and experiences of that days many years later. For that very reason, we wish to give you some pieces of advice which will help you to choose a cameraman.
- First, visit the studio and get acquainted with the people who are going to work with you.
- It is worthwhile to familiarize yourself with the prices before going into further detail. Presently, in Yerevan the prices on video-filming and editing services differ dramatically. There are always people ready to film your wedding at the price of whisky bottle. Beware of them for there is nothing more expensive than the disappointment you may get from a cheap video film. Speaking of prices, it should be noted that neither cheap, nor affordable, nor expensive prices are indicative, and one shall not make a decision only based on prices.
- By all means, familiarize yourself with the work done by the studio. Let them demonstrate samples of their work. Pay attention to the quality of the video footage and editing. Everyone must get a prior impression of what he is going to get as a result.
- Editing can play both a positive and negative role for the video film. The same film can be edited in various ways, and depending on the way, the outcome will differ. The classic style of video editing is always highly valued. You can order you preferred way of editing.
- Find out what camcorder will be used to shoot your event. DV, DVCAM, HDV, AVCCAM, DVCPRO, P2HD, ProHD, Digital Betacam are the professional camcorder’s standards. We tried to list the video cameras produced recently and probably used by studios, however, this inventory in not complete, and there may be video cameras not indicated in the list. Never agree to have your event shot by a VHS or SVHS camera as these standards can not ensure high quality and have been long obsolete. Small “handy cam” cameras also can not ensure high quality regardless of being MiniDV, MiniDVD or HDD.
- Auxiliary equipment is very important during video filming because this has an impact on the quality of footage. If a tripod is used the image will not tremble, and horizontal motion will be smooth and even. This will definitely indicate professionalism in video filming. In low lighting (in some churches or when the cake is cut and the lights are switched off) there is a need to use camera light which not every cameraman has.
- Do not forget to warn that video shooting was carried in 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen) or HDV standards, if you have the TV which support High-Definition standard (TVs with notes HD, HDTV, Full HD, HD Ready) and other necessary equipment, as well as Blu-Ray player, Sony Play Station 3 or notebook with Blu-Ray drive.
- The most popular and easy way to keep video is DVD disc, but our studio offer you to shoot and edit your events in High-Definition (HDV) format and get the final version of your film in Blu-Ray discs, which is the highest quality standard for video production in the world.
